Aaron Morrow, Leesville, LA
Often times we get family members entering their sons, daughters or siblings in the Young Racer's Club and such was the case this month. Keith Morrow from Leesville, La., entered his son, Aaron, in the club and low and behold Aaron is this month's winner!

Aaron Morrow turned 18 back in December of 2007 and currently races at Sabine Motor Speedway. His dad has been racing at the local tracks since 2001 and Aaron has been right with him at every race. So, the family bought him his own mini-stock back in 2002 (at the age of 13). While Aaron didn't win behind the wheel of that Datsun B210, he sure learned how to race and got a lot of respect from the local drivers as well.

Early in 2003, Dad let Aaron jump in his old Street Stock for two races in the Pure Stock class. Naturally, that was after the pair worked to make it legal for the class. Aaron notched Top 5s in both events.

Late in 2004, Aaron and his Dad got together the Camaro pictured to the right. The patriotic paint scheme was Aaron's idea to show his support to the troops overseas. The following two and a half years were rough with many local tracks struggling to stay open but the Morrows raced as much as they could.

Things got better in 2007 as Dad writes, "During the season he had finished in the Top 5 each time he raced, with four Second place finishes. Then, one night I got the call I was waiting for. His girlfriend was so hysterical I couldn't figure out if he won or got hurt until she finally told me he won."

Dad, Keith, continued saying, "Aaron's overall dream is to one day run in NASCAR, and I am going to try my best to help him get there, but for now he loves racing against me on the track and talking trash about it."

For the 2008 season, Aaron will be running ether a Street Stock Camaro or possibly a UMP Modified. Either way, we're sure that the $250 gift certificate from this month's Young Racer's Club sponsor, Sunoco, will help out getting those racecars on the track.
